Chimgan-Beldersay ski resortsChimgan Mountains are situated just 80 km far from north-east of Tashkent. Chimgan Mountains are well-known holiday places of both local people and visitors from abroad. The low (average height is 1,500 m) mountain range in the western part of the Tian Shan Mountains is famous as one of the best winter resorts in Asia. Many holiday villages and hotels, a lot of hiking and ski routes, as well as popular slopes for climbing were laid in the mountains.
ShakhrisabzShakhrisabz, Tamerlane's birthplace, 160 km from Samarkand, is located in a small valley, surrounded by the foothills of the Pamir mountains. This city reminds all nationality of Uzbek people. Among the architectural monuments of Tamerlane's time, there are the remains of the massive portal of the Ak - Saray Palace, The Dorussiadat Burial Complex consists of a mausoleum for two of Tamerlane's sons, Jahangir and Umar Sheikh.
QarshiQarshi is a city in southern Uzbekistan. It is the capital of Qashqadaryo Region. The city is important in natural gas production, but Qarshi is also famous for its production of woven flat carpets. Originally the Sogdian city of Nakhshab, and the Islamic Uzbek (Turkic) city of Nasaf, and the Mongol city of Qarshi (pronounced Kharsh), Qarshi was the second city of the Emirate of Bukhara. It is in the center of a fertile oasis that produces wheat, cotton, and silk.
NavoiNavoi is the real oasis in the steppe. It is the youngest city of the country. Its construction was started by the Government Decree in 1958. It was named after the great Uzbek poet, scientist and state figure Alisher Navoi. The city has economic importance and is the large industrial center of the western part of Uzbekistan. The city became, as it were, the outpost of desert development.
KokandKokand is one of the oldest towns in Uzbekistan. It was founded in the tenth century. In 18th-19th centuries it became the capital of the Kokand Khanate. The khan's palace of Urda Khudayarakhan is one of the trappings in Kokand. Its front side is decorated with intricate glazed tiles.
AndijanAndijan is considered as one of the most ancient cities of Fergana Valley. In previous times, There was the city named "Ershi" which was famous for its speedy horses and wild nature and it is located in 30 kilometers from the Andijan. Such horses were delivered to the Empire of China and to its emperors as precious jewels. In XV century the Temurid Babur was Andijan’s ruler. Andijan is brilliant place where you can find affectionate people, fresh fruits, cotton and wheat fields.
TermezTermez is the center of the southern province of Uzbekistan, Surkhandarya. It is one of the ancient towns of Uzbekistan located on the bank of the Amudarya (Oxus), on the borderline of Uzbekistan with Afganistan. There are three different sites of the city. Old Termez, situated on the river bank, seven kilometers north of modern Termez, dates back to the period of Seleucids, Greek - Bactrian kings. Khakimi at - Termezi - a very famous theologian, founder of the “ Khakimi” order and spiritual patron of the town is well respected in the Muslim world.
Fergana ValleyFerghana Valley is one of the most beautiful areas of Uzbekistan.
